![]() ![]() I tried to use glass from a cheap picture recently and got some newton rings on some of the negs. Scanned at 1200 dpi, using the marquee selector, I can get reasonable results. and hold in place with a piece of plain ordinary glass (out of a photo frame). I place the negs straight onto the glass (matt side up). You must leave the area right under these holes on the scanner bed clear: This is also the case if you use the DigitaLiza. Regardless of how you hold your film - even if you just tape it right onto the scanner bed glass - you must not obstruct the area that the scanner uses to sense the holder. ![]() I can also scan a single strip of 35mm on the slide side without glass using the remaining partitions to hold the film in place. ![]() Here's what they look like in the holder with the glass cover. I scan them so that they curl away from the scanner bed. I use the anti-reflective glass to hold them in place and keep them straight.
